CAYDEN YESTERDAY AT VICTORIA GARDENS

We had a good time - it was hot but not miserably so - although it was about 98 or so.  Better than 115 plus.

They enjoyed the Social Club and then having some ice cream  and hanging out for awhile. 

We probably won't see Cayden much for several months and I think we will see Mac and Jake one more time - Seth mentioned about coming up before they leave - so not sure about that.  We all enjoyed playing shuffleboard  - these are just the shots with Cayden and Jake in them on one end of the shuffleboard lane.  mac looks so much taller because she is sitting in the middle and its' higher.

I came across these wonderful photos of Cayden and wanted to put them up here.

A FEW PICS I GOT

Cayden played Theseus in the play Theseus and the Minotaur basically a play between goodness/hero which is Theseus and Minotaur which is the product of a union between a Queen and a bull.  Long story short - at the link 

I had never heard of this mythological story before so I didn't know a thing about it until I read a little before the play.

So Cayden was singing a lot of his part as Theseus who was planning to go off and slay the Minotaur.

I didn't get many clear pics - only a few came out. 

I got the one of his Lolo and Uncle as they were coming out the door.

CAYDEN COOKING WITH MIKE'S INSTRUCTION

So Cayden made a lot of the meal ..which was sausage and whatever else is in  the pasta also with spinach and it was so good.  Mike makes the best sausage pasta.  Cayden also decided on what he was going to make for desert with what we had available in the house. He decided to go with a frozen pound cake we had in the freezer and then use my very very special peppermint ice cream by Dreyers (which is a seasonal one and I am protective of it, lol)...  He lined the bowl on all sides with very thin slices of pound cake with peppermint ice cream in the middle of it. 

He cooked the sausage and Mike showed him the seasonings and then he mixed in the pasta along with the spinach.  We also had Red Lobster Rolls with it. 

This was Thursday night - the night before we then saw Mac and Jake for our day out.

My only contribution was to be the photographer and set a somewhat festive table (smirk)...I tried...with what I had available also.

YESTERDAY'S TRIP OUT TO VICTORIA GARDENS

They had ice cream and a trip over to Punch Bowl Social where they were going to bowl but the alleys were closed down because they were fixing something.  Instead we all played this fun shuffleboard game which I must say, I think Cayden sneaks out at night and practices because he's pretty good at this. 

Then a few more games and we ended up with them doing the large Jenga before we left to meet Seth and Annika.  A lot of photos of the back of them because I'm always following to make sure we don't lose any of them.

PUNCH BOWL SOCIAL

A fun place to take the kids.  They have bowling, games, more adult games, a bar and quieter than say, Dave and Busters.  When we were there it was calm and peaceful.  I imagine on a weekend it gets pretty busy.

this is the area where people play Jenga or hang out on couches by the fire.
